Up to 70% off at Arnotts warehouse sale

Every now and again Arnotts will host a warehouse sale and this weekend (21st/22nd May) is one such occasion. The opening hours are limited from 10am-3pm, but the savings are significant. I'd suggest you get there early to make the most of the discounts.

There will be up to 70% off selected furniture, up to 50% off a large range of electrical appliances, up to 70% off bed linen, and up to 50% off flooring. You'll find big brand names on sale such as Waterford Crystal, TC Matthews, Dorma, Elizabeth Arden, and Stellar. This is not a bargain basement sale, but if you're looking to pick up high-quality items at a discount it's worth checking out.

The warehouse sale is on at Unit K, Furry Park Industrial Estate, Santry, Dublin 9, I'm told all methods of payment are accepted, and that delivery can be arranged. For queries call (01) 805 0400.

Enjoy a 'Getaway For Girls'

So says the Lusty Beg Island Resort but there's nothing to say that this getaway isn't suitable for the boys as well. This four-star island in Lough Erne offers self-catering and B&B facilities with lakeside lodges, chalets, cabins, and en-suite lakeside rooms for those who prefer a hotel stay. This is a true escape from modern life.

The one-night bed and breakfast offer costs £80 per person sharing (which is just over €100 at today's exchange rates). This includes a Voya spa treatment (mini facial or seaweed bath), a light lunch served in the spa garden with three hours' use of the spa facilities, and a speed boat trip around the island the following morning that will wake you up before you leave the island behind.

It's subject to availability so contact the Lusty Beg Island Resort for more information: www.lustybegisland.com or call (+44) 28 6863 3300.
