THE arrival of a baby boy two weeks ago has given Audrey Gaynor and Simon Doyle plenty to do.

Little Jack has joined his sister Charlie, who is 11 months, to make life a whole lot more lively in the couple’s home in Clondalkin, Dublin.

More than ever the couple need to keep on top of household expenses.

Mr Doyle says he is ditching Electric Ireland after signing up for One Big Switch and is now moving to Bord Gais.

He reckons the 10pc discount on the standard tariff will save the household €109 a year, while the cash-back offer after a year will save the family almost €200 over 12 months.

Mr Doyle operates a sports shop in Clondalkin and his wife is on maternity leave from her job in the Department of Justice.

The family spends around €1,000 a year on electricity.

“We checked out the deal One Big Switch has done with Bord Gais and we reckon we will save nearly €200 over a year,” he said.
