Aldi launches €6.50 school uniform

ALDI has launched a €6.50 school uniform as part of its back-to-school programme.

The back-to-school offer includes hard-wearing school trousers, polo shirts, jumpers and skirts for children aged between four and 11 years.

“Sending the kids back-to-school can be a hugely expensive and difficult time for Irish families," said Niall O'Connor, Aldi Ireland's group buying director.

"The uniforms have been independently quality tested to ensure they are hard-wearing and will withstand the rigours of the school year."

For boys the bargain uniform offer feature a €2 pair of trousers, polo shirt (€1.99 for two), round neck sweater (€2.49).

The range for girls includes

Aldi’s school uniform features a pleated skirt (€1.99 each), a plain polo shirt (€1.99 per 2 pack) and a round neck sweater (€2.49 each), all for just €6.47. 

The range of colours include grey marl, black, red, navy, white and blue and the uniform comes in sizes / ages 4-5, 5-6, 6-7, 8-9 and 10-11.

“The school uniforms are a one-off Aldi ‘Specialbuy’ and will be available while stocks last.  However I’d like to reassure our customers that we will have plenty of stock at each of our 101 Irish stores to meet the high demand that we are anticipating” Mr O’Connor added.
