The mobile fundraising company behind Majella O'Donnell's charity campaign, where she shaved her head live on The Late Late Show last year has helped Irish charities raise €2.5m over the last 18 months.
LikeCharity was set up in January 2013. It provides a service where people can donate to charity by sending a text message. Over 150 charities already use its service to raise money.
"The future of charity is mobile and social," said John Kyne, Chief Operating Officer with LikeCharity. "People will donate to charity in their droves using text messages because it's an easy way to donate money."
