Workers in the hospitality and retail sectors will know the familiar headache of being asked to charge customers' phones.

Often phones get plugged in somewhere and they can get dropped, smashed or damaged by spilt liquids.

But the new box called iCharge claims to take away the worry and hassle for business owners and clients alike.

"iCharge is a secure box, which can charge up to four devices at one time. You only pay one euro to charge your phone. Besides offering a great service to your customers, it also provides your business with a revenue stream because companies will keep their income from iCharge for themselves,” Patrick Cotter, CEO of FleetConnect said:

Mr Cotter says having an iCharge phone charging unit on your premises means you can increase footfall because it is "a must to offer such a service" since phones are such an integral part of people's lives.

“We have clients in the UK, Germany and Spain from pubs to festivals, clubs to stadiums, and basically anywhere people want to charge their phones,” Mr. Cotter says.

Dublin based user Maria McCarthy said: “The quality of chargers in general has gone down considerably. I have an iPhone 4 and whether I buy a charger for €15 or €1.50, they take ages to charge and so often break. iCharge has been a lifeline for me. We used to manage without phones on the go, but these days you need to be able to charge your phone anywhere in an emergency so I’d love to see iCharge phone charging units everywhere across Ireland and when I travel abroad. They are a necessity, not a luxury,” she adds.

Mr Cotter added: “iCharge is made in Ireland at our headquarters in Blanchardstown”- Mr. Cotter says. "I don’t believe in outsourcing because I want to oversee production. I understand the importance of manufacturing products 100 per cent in Ireland. We are a small country and our export business is vital for our economy. It also creates employment at home using highly skilled staff. iCharge offers a perfect solution regardless of whether you run a hotel, gym, restaurant, stadium, public house or anywhere people gather.”

For more information on iCharge go to www.icharge.ie. All you need to do is select iCharge for rent or buy for a hugely competitive price. iCharge will then be shipped within two days.
