TV3 'on verge of being sold' to parent company of UPC

John Malone’s Liberty Global is on the verge of buying TV3 after it entered exclusive talks to buy the broadcaster.
TV3’s owner Doughty Hanson has been looking to sell TV3 for several months. TV3 is likely to sell for tens of millions euro.
Industry sources have indicated a deal is still some way from being completed, Liberty Global is now the firm favourite to takeover the independent broadcaster.
Liberty Global is the parent of UPC, the cable provider which is one of the biggest providers of broadband, phone and TV services in Ireland.
