Eoin Quinn has been appointed Deputy Editor of Ireland's biggest-selling daily newspaper, the Irish Independent.

Eoin, who is a father of two from Bray, Co Wicklow, has a degree in journalism from DIT. He has more than 27 years of experience in local and national newspapers.

He joined the Irish Independent in 2002, where he has held the roles of Assistant Chief-Sub-Editor, Deputy Night Editor, and Production Editor of the Irish Independent.

He is a former Editor of the 'Wicklow People' and 'Bray People' newspapers.

Irish Independent Editor Fionnán Sheahan said: "Eoin is widely respected by his colleagues for good reason. He has tremendous ability and is vastly experienced, so it's a great boost that he has agreed to take up this role as Deputy Editor. He is a real asset to the newspaper."
