Lucy Gaffney resigns from INM board

BUSINESSWOMAN Lucy Gaffney has stepped down from the board of Independent News & Media (INM).
The company announced today that Lucy Gaffney had informed the board of her resignation as director.
First appointed as a non-executive director in March 2009 Ms Gaffney has served on both INM’s Nomination & Corporate Governance Committee and the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee through a period of dramatic change for the media sector.
INM chairman Leslie Buckley expressed the company’s appreciation for her work as director.
“On behalf of the company and the board, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to Lucy Gaffney for her total dedication to the business since 2009,” Mr Buckley said.
“She has made a very valuable and positive contribution to INM, in terms of strategic input and exceptional guidance. She was hugely ambitious for INM during her time on the board.”
INM, the owners of this website, reported a 13.5pc increase in pre-tax profits for the first half of 2015.
