Love/Hate producer sits on profits of €242,365

The production company behind the 'Love/Hate' phenomenon, Octagon Films, was sitting on accumulated profits of €242,365 at the end of last year.
Octagon Films produced the RTE hit drama, starring Susan Loughnane, inset.
Its eagerly anticipated drama, 'Clean Break', will be coming to our screens later this year. The firm has also been involved in the production of TV show 'Penny Dreadful' and the movie 'Calvary' starring Brendan Gleeson.
New accounts filed by Octagon Films with the Companies Office show that accumulated profits fell from €269,244 in the 12 months to the end of September 2014.
The managing director of the firm is James Flynn while one of the best known names of the Irish movie world, Morgan O'Sullivan also sits on the board.
The performance of Octagon Films is not representative of Octagon's overall business as the firm sets up a number of special purpose companies for its various projects. A subsidiary, Octagon Films International, recorded profits of €93,456 in its first year of operation to the end of April of last year.
