Recruitment is under way for a newly-created senior role, at Independent News & Media (INM), the country's leading media group.

INM is seeking applications from candidates with at least 10 years' experience as a multi-platform media professional for the role of Tabloid Platform Editor.

The new role has responsibility for the market leading 'The Herald' and 'Sunday World' titles in print and online.

Reporting to INM Editor-in-Chief Stephen Rae, the successful candidate will be tasked with championing the diverse journalistic values of the tabloid titles and upholding an independent journalistic ethos, with a strong emphasis on investigative journalism, the company said.

The editors of the 'Sunday World' and the Herald will report to the new Tabloid Platform Editor. The job will be advertised internally and externally, and applications are due by March 26.
