A quarter-acre town centre development site in the seaside town of Malahide, north Co. Dublin, has been sold by QRE for €907,000, with both the auction and the closure of the private treaty campaign taking just 30 minutes to conduct using the firm's online bidding facility.
Four potential buyers participated in the online auction, which was held last Friday. Bidding on the site, which was zoned 'town centre', opened at €800,000 and escalated quickly to produce a winning bid of €907,000 from a private investor. Contracts were signed and exchanged on the same day, and the sale is scheduled to close by the end of this week.
It is believed that a mixed use development is being considered for the site.
