An Tánaiste has launched 35 new jobs at a Dublin-based chauffeur company Devine’s Worldwide Chauffeur Services.

The job launch coincides with the opening of the company’s new office in Santry.

Later this year the company will launch a chauffeur booking app that will allow passengers to make reservations on an app and watch as their vehicle arrives via their smart phone.

The company, which started off with one man with a car in 1978, has driven some of the most high-profile stars in the world including Rolling Stones and Michael Jackson to Lady Gaga and Beyoncé.

Today Devine’s has a fleet of over 40 cars as well as a staff of 60, with owner Mick Devine still at the helm.

Welcoming the announcement today An Tánaiste congratulated the company on the creation of the 35 new jobs,

"Enterprises like these that are the backbone of the country," An Tánaiste said.
