Jobs boost with the creation of more than 200 posts

Up to 230 jobs will be created in Ireland across three technology firms and one popular entertainment venue.

The Wright Bar Group is expanding its sizeable workforce in Dublin as it announces 100 vacancies in its latest business development. 

The firm plans to open two new venues in Swords and Airside Retail Park as part of a €800,000 investment.

Wright’s already employs over 350 people across its existing chain of bars and restaurants in Dublin.

Meanwhile, three technology companies – including Microsoft – will create 130 jobs.

Dublin-based Microsoft is advertising for 95 vacancies in the areas of software development and sales.

Some of the roles will be allocated for new graduates and for their overseas operations centre. 

The leading IT firm currently employs over 1,900 full-time and contract staff in Ireland.

As part of  €2m investment initiative, mobile marketing company Brandtone – also based in Dublin – will create 29 jobs.

Elsewhere, ten jobs will be available with Roscommon-based telecoms firm, FCS Global, as it develops its training, engineering and US operations.
