IT firm EMC to announce 200 jobs at Cork HQ
Global internet technology company EMC plans to expand its 3,000-strong Irish workforce with an additional 200 roles at a new site in Cork.
EMC first expanded operations to Ireland 25 years ago, with offices also currently based in Dublin and Belfast.
An industry leader in the global IT sector, the firm specialises in cloud computing and data analytics, exporting to more than 140 countries worldwide.
The news follows a series of positive employment developments this week as two other firms have said they are to create 100 jobs in the country.
EMC’s president and COO David Goulden, Jobs Minister Richard Bruton will joining Taoiseach Enda Kenny at an event later today where the announcement is expected to be made.
