Over 60 teenagers from schools and youth organisations across the country participated in Young Social Innovators (YSI) 2015, a first of its kind opportunity for young people to take part in a live question and answer session with government representatives.

The Youth Voice Event was opened by Taoiseach Enda Kenny and TD Áine Collins. Appropriately enough for its youthful audience, the event was also live-tweeted using the hashtag #YSIYouthVoice.

The event was organised by Young Social Innovators a movement of young people supported by Vodafone Foundation Ireland that aims to bring about positive change using social innovation.

There are 25,000 young people involved in its programmes, training and events this year.
