The affordable homes, created by sustainable architectural partnership Solearth and built by Dempsey Timber Engineering, produce enough energy to sustain themselves all year round and even produce surplus electricity to sell back to the grid.

The 'Home PLUS+' is on show at the Sustainable Building Show in the RDS Simmonscourt, which runs until Saturday.
