TV presenter launches online brokerage service

TV PRESENTER John McGuire of 'Celebrity Bainisteoir' fame has teamed up with Dublin broker Pembroke to launch an online insurance brokerage that promises to make insurance "entertaining and cheap".
The new venture -- Quote Devil -- claims to sell policies in as little as three minutes with business done entirely online at www.quotedevil.ie.
The site features a talking animated devil brandishing various implements.
Policies on sale include home insurance, mortgage protection and motor breakdown, while Quote Devil is planning to branch into pet and wedding insurance in the coming months.
"Because of our technology we can offer a service that is not available on any other site in Ireland," said Mr McGuire.
"We can issue a quote within one minute and have a copy of the policy schedule and a bank indemnity letter emailed to our customers within three minutes."
Quote Devil's managing director, Graham Weir, who also runs Pembroke, said the online model allows the company to offer quotes at far lower prices than competitors.
