Things change pretty fast in this stationery firm

A LOT of businesses have started in the kitchen. It's safe to say however that not many of them were paper businesses that now provide stationery for all occasions. Daintree Paper provides everything from wedding invitations to "get well soon" cards, from their store on Camden Street in Dublin.
It's fair to say things have worked out pretty well for founder Paul Barnes since he started the company in 1994.
"I had been working in the leather industry for a number of years. That's a technically difficult industry and wasn't really making money.
"I knew I wanted to do something with recycled goods and I got hooked on homemade paper.
"This started as a sideline -- I was pulping the paper with a food processor -- and developed from there.
"When I was on holiday in Stockholm I saw all these wonderful stationery shops and I thought I could replicate them here.
"I started importing paper from India and selling it to art students and eventually opened a small shop before moving to Camden Street in 2004."
