New York City police commissioner Bill Bratton is to join the Irish-led global advisory firm Teneo as senior managing director and executive chairman of Teneo Risk.
Teneo Risk is a new division set up to advise global firms on risk identification, prevention and response. Commissioner Bratton will join the company in September after his retirement from the Police Department.
The new department will advise clients across the areas of cyber risk and security, smart city planning, crises response, and terrorism preparedness.
Teneo, which is headed up by Declan Kelly, has recently added Irish rugby legend Brian O'Driscoll as a sports advisor.
Mr Kelly welcomed the Commissioner to the company.
“In a world of increasing uncertainty and instability, CEOs and business leaders are now, more than ever, looking for advice on critical risk and security issues from trusted, proven experts. Commissioner Bratton brings unparalleled expertise that will benefit our clients around the globe.”
The addition of the police commissioner follows a recent deal by Teneo to acquire Irish PR firm PSG Communications. Mr Kelly moved for PSG back in July but no official sum was announced.
