APR: 16.9 per cent
Discounts: No set rate at all, but various "discounts from brands and departments".
Perks: "Seasonal events" for cardholders, a free interior design service, monthly special offers.
APR: Between 16.9 and 20.9 per cent, as there are two types, a store card (in-store only) and a Debenhams credit card that can be used anywhere.
Discounts: Just 10 per cent off purchases for just two days when you open a card and €30 in vouchers when you join. After that, you get "reward points" for every €1 spent in store. With the credit card you get one point for every €2 spent elsewhere. The points are converted into vouchers and sent to you each month.
Perks: "Special shopping events", 20 per cent off in Debenhams cafes and restaurants free "gifts and treats" and "no- quibble returns", even on sale items.
APR: 15.9 per cent
on two types of card, a Brown Thomas MasterCard and Encore card.
Discounts: You get just 3 per cent back on what you spend with the card in the form of Encore Rewards points. Up to 25 per cent off "on a host of other services".
Perks: You get a €40 gift card when you sign up for the Master Card. Otherwise expect invitations to customer events, plus deals on spas, gourmet restaurants and golf courses.
House of Fraser
APR: APR of 19.9 per cent on two card types, the House of Fraser Master Card and Account Card.
Discounts: You get points that convert into vouchers.
Perks: "Invitations to exclusive cardholder events and details of special offers."
APR: Introductory 0 per cent APR for first six months, 14.9 per cent after that. It's a general credit card, so can be used everywhere, not just in Tesco.
Discounts: You get 50 per cent more Tesco Clubcard points when you use the card in Tesco and can also earn points on spending elsewhere, that convert into vouchers.
Perks: Deals on hotels, restaurants, family days out.
