ONCE again we pitch the stars against the Sindo's dart-throwing monkey in our annual share-picking competition. Paddy Power bookmakers has again generously agreed to give €1,000 to a charity picked by the winner of the 2010 competition.

AER LINGUS
The monkey landed the second dart on Aer Lingus. Despite the airline industry turndown, the dart moved towards the spot marking the troubled aviation share.
RYANAIR
Not satisfied with one airline, the third dart pierced the spot held by Ryanair. If Ryanair makes a third bid for Aer Lingus, the monkey could be on a double winner.
PADDY POWER
The monkey aimed the fourth spear at Paddy Power, the sponsor of this contest. If he is correct, Paddy Power will have no problem meeting the onerous burden of sponsorship when its share price rockets.
SMURFIT KAPPA
The fifth hit Smurfit Kappa, a great favourite of its own stockbrokers Davy, while the final dart dropped on the spot occupied by blue chip CRH.
