Senior official who gave evidence at trial of former Anglo directors to return to Central Bank
Con Horan on secondment to European Banking Authority
The former number two official at the Financial Regulator is due to return the Central Bank at the end of the year.
Con Horan, who gave evidence at the trial of two former Anglo Irish Bank directors found guilty of allowing illegal loans, is currently on secondment to the European Banking Authority in London.
That placement ends at the end of December Central Bank Governor Patrick Honohan said today.
The Central Bank Governor said he had no comment to make on what role Mr Horan will fill on his return.
