Ryanair experience large increase in passenger traffic in June

Ryanair has reported a 12pc increase year-on-year in passenger numbers for the month of June, with 11.8 million travellers flying with the airline last month.

The load factor – how many sets it fills on each flight – increased 2pc to 96pc.

Rolling annual traffic at the low fares airline to June grew 13pc to 123.8m customers.

The news follows an announcement from the airline last month that it had purchased another ten Boeing 737 Max 200 “Gamechanger” aircraft to add to its fleet, an order valued at more than $1.1bn.
