AN action involving a dispute over a lease for the former POD nightclub in Dublin will be heard in the Commercial Court this Tuesday.

The action is being taken by Altomoravia Holdings against John Reynolds (pictured), who founded the POD nightclub.

Under the lease, signed in early 2012, Altomoravia planned to operate the Harcourt Street premises as a pub and night-time entertainment venue along with a consortium of businessmen.

That consortium includes Colin Dolan, a nephew of the late singer Joe Dolan, Thomas Anderson, Mike Ormond and Ian Redmond. All four men are guarantors of the lease.

Dolan, Redmond and Ormond are directors of the well-known Dublin pub, Flannery's. Anderson is a member of the Ward/Anderson cinema family.

Simon Carty Solicitors are acting for the consortium. The company which formerly controlled the venue, POD Entertainment, went into receivership about two years ago.
