A UK-BASED promotions firm owned by Irish international soccer captain Robbie Keane is scoring high after last year enjoying profits of £129,357 (€155,863).
Accounts recently filed with the Companies House in the UK show that accumulated profits at Robbie Keane Promotions Ltd increased 34.5pc to £503,326.
The figures show that the firm's cash increased by more than 50pc from £99,791 to £163,387 in the 12 months to the end of last March. The firm's debtors during the period increased from £345,962 to £402,085. Shareholder funds totalled £503,328 at the end of March.
The filings show the 33-year old Tallaght man established the firm in 1999 near the start of his professional soccer career in England when he was playing with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Keane transferred from Wolves to Coventry in a record £6m fee for a teenager at the time and across his career the cumulative amount from Keane's transfer deals total over £70m.
Keane -- continuing his football career in Los Angeles, where he lives with his wife, Claudine, and four-year-old son -- would have benefited from handsome signing-on fees at the clubs that included Inter Milan, Leeds Utd, Tottenham, Liverpool and most recently Los Angeles Galaxy.
The striker is currently returning to fitness after an Achilles operation last November in London.
