Rising tide lifts pay of ICG chief executive

The pay packet of Irish Continental Group chief executive Eamon Rothwell jumped more than a quarter, to €1.6m, last year thanks to an increase in performance pay, according to the group's annual report.

ICG's financial results for 2014 showed revenue up by 9.6pc to €290.1m, boosted by a 14pc rise at its Irish Ferries unit led by strong growth in roll-on-roll-off trucking traffic.
