Entrepreneur Kennedy teamed up with serial tech investor Ray Nolan to make booking hostels internet-friendly. They sold their company Hostelworld for 249m in 2009. Kennedy, a former estate agent, owned a minority stake. He is now trying to create a rival to Airbnb with Homestay.com. Kennedy has backed a number of Nolan's other ventures.
