2016 was a year to forget for former teacher Ronnie Wilson whose Monaghan Mushrooms, the largest mushroom grower in the country, felt the full force of the post-Brexit collapse in sterling. In 2015, a court case valued 30pc of Wilson's unlimited company Pleroma at 30.6m.

With most of Monaghan Mushrooms' output going to UK retailers such as Tesco and M&S, Pleroma must now be worth considerably less, therefore we have reduced our estimate of his worth to 50m.
