Tech entrepreneur Nolan made around 100m from the sale of Hostelworld, a hostel booking site he'd set up with Tom Kennedy. Last November, Ctrip, China's biggest online travel firm, bought travel search business Skyscanner for $1.75bn, giving shareholder and serial tech investor Nolan a very nice return on a stake in the business. The Malahide man holds potentially valuable stakes in other companies including Asavie, Whatclinic and Mark Roden's Ding. There was also a good return when Mark Little's Storyful was sold for 22m in 2013. Nolan has also teamed up with rugby legend Brian O'Driscoll for the Ultimate Rugby app.
