Veteran businessman John Teeling made most of his money from the drinks industry, having sold his Cooley distillery to Jim Beam for more than 70m in 2011. He's also active in the exploration sector via companies including Botswana Diamonds and Petrel.

He took a position in frozen storage business Norish where he tried to persuade fellow shareholders to rebel against a fundraising, but didn't succeed. His sons Stephen and Jack have developed a high profile via their Teeling whiskey business, based in Dublin's Liberties.
