Since retiring from Formula One in 2002, former racing driver Eddie Irvine (51) has reinvented himself as a high-end property developer and speculator. Irvine made an estimated 45m during his F1 career, the highlight of which was finishing second in the 1999 World Drivers' Championship. However, an expensive lifestyle means that Irvine still needs to turn a buck.
He is involved in home-building and development in Miami, selling three houses for 27m in 2013 as well as a 5.5m beach house. He spent 3.5m buying the Exuma yacht club in the Caribbean and plans to develop it into a luxury resort. There are also interests back in Northern Ireland, ranging from go-karting and leisure to shipping and property.
