Belfast's Tim Martin (60) is the largest shareholder in €1.

1bn-valued listed boozer chain Wetherspoons, which has been expanding in Ireland buying up a number of pubs. His 27pc stake is worth almost €300m as shares have dipped and there have been dividends of €16m in recent years. While he only gets paid about €420,000 per year by Wetherspoons, the pub company does provide him with free rail tickets.
