In the late 1990s John Dorrance inherited a 10.5pc stake in Campbell's Soup, the iconic American brand immortalised by Andy Warhol. He sold the most of his stake, moving to Ireland and its welcoming capital gains tax regime soon after.
He received an Irish passport after investing $1.5m in a tree- planting project. Dorrance owns a home in Dartry. The low-profile billionaire (79) - nicknamed "Ippy" - also owns an 18,000-acre ranch in Wyoming.
