Former Aer Lingus accountant Heavey has seen his fortune smashed by the tumbling price of oil. He owns shares worth €13m in Tullow Oil, the biggest owner of exploration acreage in Africa and one of the biggest oil producers on the continent.

Heavey (61), who has a Lamborghini jeep and is married to Lorraine (who had a Top 10 pop hit), is now based in Surrey. At one stage his Tullow stake was worth more than €100m before shares tumbled. He has been eyeball-poppingly well paid, including a €23m remuneration package in 2010.
