Retailers on move in time for Christmas

International and national retailers are taking advantage of keener rents available in Ireland to expand. This is reflected in recent lettings including Disney taking the lease on the former Laura Ashley store in Grafton St. Rents on the street average €5,250 per sqm Zone A.

Jewellery brand Pandora has announced plans to open a store in Grafton St following in the footsteps of Boodles, and the departure of Wests.

Skechers are opening a new Shuz 4 U store in Henry St where rents average €4,250 per sqm Zone A. Build a Bear are taking a store in Blanchardstown Town Centre where rents average €3,000 per sqm.

Cormac Kennedy of CB Richard Ellis says a number of retail lettings continue to be negotiated and he foresees pop-up shops taking vacant units on short lettings during the run-up to Christmas.
