Probably the best director ever?
Richard Burrows (above), the ex-Bank of Ireland governor who called it a day after apologising for billions of euro in losses and a 95 per cent fall in share price, continues to land big jobs.
It has emerged that he joined the board of Danish beer giant Carlsberg last year. He also bought almost €40,000 worth of shares in the brewer, which have risen in value since then.
He also chairs ciggie firm BAT, rat posion group Rentokil, and is on the board of the Campari subsidiary that makes Wild Turkey whiskey. Burrows also works for Turkish firewater firm Mey Icki and forester Step Green.
