Pink shirters get paid more

Irish men who are adventurous when choosing their shirt colour could earn a lot more than those who play it safe.

Men who wear pink shirts earn an extra €1,240 a year, according to research by Cotton USA.

"A few years ago, some men were afraid to wear pink shirts as they were considered 'girlie'," said Louis Copeland of designer clothing shop, Louis Copeland. "That's not the case any more – Irishmen are much more adventurous today than they used to be."

About a fifth business shirts sold to Irish men are pink, says Copeland.
