O2 and Botox firm up PR accounts
MOBILE phone operator O2 and the makers of Botox have both made decisions on their advertising and consumer public relations accounts.
MediaVest has been retained as O2's media buying agency in Ireland following a competitive pan European pitch in Madrid in August. As O2's retained agency, MediaVest will be responsible for all media buying and planning services for the O2 brand in Ireland.
The O2 brand operates in the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia and the account is estimated to be worth €120m across the five markets.
MediaVest has developed a good relationship with O2 over the past eight years and are looking forward to continuing to devise creative solutions for the O2 brand.
Meanwhile McSquared, the consumer and brands division of Murrays Consultants, has been appointed to handle Consumer PR for Allergan Pharmaceuticals in the Irish market. Allergan may be best known as the makers of the cosmetic toxin, Botox.
Murray Consultants has handled Allergan's Corporate PR since 2004 and will now work with Allergan to promote the company's facial aesthetics range of products and to support media enquiries regarding Vistabel and Botox.
"We are delighted to be working with a team as competent as McSquared," said Janet Kettels, head of communications, Allergan, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
