Nick Munier's restaurant serves up tasty profits of €270,000
New figures show that the restaurant business operated by RTE 'MasterChef' judge Nick Munier last year served up tasty profits of €269,665.
Abridged accounts just filed to the Companies Office by Munier's Dillmel Ltd, which operates his Pichet restaurant in Dublin, show that it increased its accumulated profits from €661,656 to €931,321 in the 12 months to the end of February 28 last.
Dillmel is co-owned between Munier (pictured) and head chef Stephen Gibson – prior to heading up Pichet Gibson worked at the Michelin-starred L'Ecrivain owned by Derry and Sally-Ann Clarke – for nine years.
Its cash pile grew by €254,953, from €590,658 to €845,611 last year.
The profits recorded last year follow two successive years of strong financial performances by the firm.
It recorded profits of €317,107 in fiscal 2012 and this followed the restaurant's 2011 performance where accumulated profits increased by €184,920 from €159,629 to €344,549.
Pichet, on Dublin's Trinity Lane, only opened up in July 2009 and within six weeks was breaking even, quickly securing a Bib Gourmand from the esteemed Michelin Guide.
