New Maynooth cafe bar

One of the few new speculative developments in an Irish town centre has got underway in the university town of Maynooth, Co Kildare.
A new pub/café is being built as part of a 600sqm two-storey development being undertaken by local firm, The McGrath Group. It will also accommodate other retail users. The group is also developing a new 110 space town centre car park adjoining the development.
Letting agent Eamon O'Flaherty, of Property Partners Brady, is quoting rents in the region of €250 per sqm.
"To date we have quite good interest in the development as Maynooth has only five pubs on its Main Street and the town has a population of over 10,000 persons and a further 10,000 students attending the university. So it is probably one the few towns in Ireland where there is ample scope for a new pub," Mr O'Flaherty says.
