National Irish boss lashes bankers
National Irish Bank boss Andrew Healy has lashed out at the bankers who brought Ireland to its knees.
"Trust has been broken with customers, shareholders, regulators and with the State," said Healy, the new president of the Institute of Bankers, in an unprecedented attack.
"The industry and the individual banks and financial institutions must regain the trust that has been lost. Trust can only be earned and it will be a slow, painstaking process over many years," he added.
