Multinationals staying silent on tax review

The American Chamber of Commerce Ireland, a lobby group representing American multinationals in this country, has declined to comment as authorities commence a review of tax arrangements given to companies more than five years ago.

The review, commencing months after a European Commission ruling that Ireland gave Apple an unlawful €13bn tax break, raises the prospect of some companies facing bigger tax bills.
