At a time when the shortage of churches is forcing some congregations into industrial estates, a church has come on the market in the centre of Mullingar town. The Presbyterian Church, on Castle Street and Friars Mill Road, extends to 1,000sq ft and is located on a 0.3 acre corner site with road frontage on two roads and its cross roads position makes it visible from four roads.
Agents Sherry FitzGerald Davitt and Davitt are asking in the region of €300,000 to €350,000.
On the other side of the Shannon a crossroads convenience store with a range of other business activities is for sale in Croghan, Boyle, Co Roscommon. Its asking price has been cut from €500,000 to €375,000.
Located on a 0.5 acre site, Mullaney's Gala Xpress comes with a five-bedroom residence. Its agent Sherry FitzGerald P. Burke points out that it is adjacent to Croghan village on the R370, which is the main route connecting Carrick-on-Shannon to Knock Airport.
