M&S plans to end food porn

IN A market where supermarket advertising often means garish special-offer ploys with limited creative values, Marks & Spencer's 'food porn' series has cut a distinctive figure.

No more. The retailer has this week confirmed plans to axe lingering shots of mouth-watering dishes with the trademark 'This is not just. . .' in favour of a simpler 'just because' concept.

"We wanted an overhaul of the advertising as we felt it was time for a shake-up," said a company spokesman.
