'More to come’ on Irish banks: Ulster Bank chief

By Simone Meier

Thursday February 25 2010

Ulster Bank Chief Executive Officer Cormac McCarthy said there’s still more to be done before Irish banks are fully repaired.

“I think there’s more to come,” McCarthy told RTE radio in Dublin today. “I think we’re a long way down the track.

The Government has done a very significant job in stabilising matters but until NAMA is up and running we won’t really have full clarity at where things stand.”

Ulster Bank is owned by Royal Bank of Scotland.
