TWO firms have announced plans this morning to create more than 130 jobs.
A total of 75 jobs are to come online at Guidewire Software in Blanchardstown.
The company provides software solutions to the insurance industry,
Guidewire Software was established in Silicon Valley but set up its Dublin branch two years ago.
The jobs announcement today will bring to 125 the number of people the company expects to employ in Ireland.
Niall Lalor, who leads the Guidewire Services Centre, said: “Some 80pc of the roles are for graduates and the other 20pc are for experienced professionals that we're looking to lead teams and lead the business itself.”
Meanwhile, a cement firm hopes to create 61 jobs at a new plant in Dublin Port. According to Ecocem Ireland, the €19m plant would generate 25 posts with up to 36 jobs being created indirectly.
