McDonald's, which employs nearly 4,000 people in Ireland, has announced it grew its exports of Irish beef to €110m last year, up from €80m just three years ago.

The beef is used in the company's various outlets across Europe and other markets, the company said.

The company will now start using Bord Bia's certified member mark on its new Ciabatta Deluxe product to show McDonald's sources all of its beef from Bord Bia-certified Irish farms.
