Martin Shanahan is new IDA chief executive

MARTIN Shanahan is to be named as the new chief executive of the IDA, the Irish Independent has learned.
The incoming chief executive has been the head of Forfás since 2010. Forfas is the Government’s policy advisory board for enterprise, trade, science, technology and innovation.
He will replace Barry O'Leary who previously announced his plans to step down from his role with the agency,
At Forfas Martin Shanahan has been heavily involved in coordinating the Government's inter agency Action Plan for Jobs.
Before joining Forfás he worked with Fáilte Ireland and CERT.
