The directors of the Irish arm of pigsback.com have reviewed the firm's cost base with the company incurring pre-tax losses of €209,366 in 2014.

Accounts filed by Empathy Marketing Ltd, which runs the advertising website, show that revenues decreased by 23.5pc, from €3.34m to €2.55m, in 2014.

The firm recorded a modest pre-tax loss of €6,271 in 2013.

The directors state: "During the course of 2014, we made significant progress in restructuring our organisation with very significant cost benefits which are now bearing fruit in 2015."
