London schools offer higher pay to Irish teachers
RECRUITERS are searching for 48 primary and secondary school teachers to work in London on similar pay to Irish rates.
Today is the final day of interviews by Hourglass Education and four principals from the Wembley area of London who hope to hire teachers in Dublin for a September start.
The jobs for full-time teachers are for a minimum of one year.
In a letter to 200 teachers who registered an interest in working in England at a recent Dublin Expo recruitment fair, the recruiters promised they could earn more than UK teachers.
This is because they get a tax-free allowance, which can mean more take home pay than British teachers doing the same job.
